Birmingham 2nd night '95
I saw this show and the whole tour from Charlotte on. For me this was the best show of the tour besides Hornsby's night in Charlotte. Jerry had lunch with Donna (Godchaux) before it and she was backstage and this probably perked him up, as did Willie Green sitting in on drums. Yes, Jerry's chops were almost shot by '95 but when his heart was in it he could still break yours -- more often with the Jerry Band than with the Dead, but here, with the Dead too. That afternoon before the show we smoked a fattie on Sun Ra's grave, which may have something to do with it too, doncha think?
Nice job with the patches. Thanks for that.

matilda
it takes about 4 minutes to actually get to Matilda, by that time, the obnoxious drums have made me skip this crappy song anyway.

Grab IT"
Row jimmy, Stagger lee, TWBS..Jerry was makin' it special.....great show from 95' This spring run was the best part of 95' and this show captures that. It wasn't the best show ever played, but if you want a solid show from the last year of Garcia....grab this!

Maybe the Last Time
My last show ever with my bro Big D. Not a bad show really - Matilda with Willie Green was smokin, and the last song Jerry ever played for me was Dew.
I guess it doesn't matter anyway...
